The extra LH pinky key for Ab/Eb has become standard on many bass clarinets, yet it is almost never seen on contra clarinets. This key is a very useful addition to your instrument, allowing the use of the extra fingering for tricky passages involving both pinkies. It is also enormously useful when paired with the extensions, allowing jumps from the extended range to Ab with ease. Assembly of the key is very quick and easy, requiring no permanent modifications to your instrument.
